We have teamed up with the awesome folk at borders wood and collectively we will be bringing you WHFTA 2025 - World Hunter Field Target championships.
Borders Wood is located in Robin Hood’s county, Nottinghamshire, UK. And will provide an idyllic setting, showcasing some of the best countryside rural England has to offer. The grounds are britishly stunning! WHFTA 2025 will be held on the weekend of 6th & 7th September 2025, we cannot wait!
WHFTA 2025 promises to be one of the outdoor airgun target shooting events of the year, we are already building on the foundations from previous years so our competitors will be in for a real treat!

Please read
Before you rush straight into booking please take some time to have a read through some important information.
WHFTA 2025 Prerequisites Anyone entering WHFTA 2025 must abide by WHFTA rules and must treat all WHFTA organisers and competitors in a respectful manner. WHFTA reserves the right to ask people to leave the event should this not be the case. All competitors taking part in WHFTA 2025 must not be banned from owning or using an air rifle under section 21 of the UK firearms act 1968.
Junior Competitors Junior competitors must be accompanied by a parent or nominated guardian who is aged 21 or over at the time of the event.
Entry Requests Any requests associated with competitor entry into WHFTA 2025 are to be made utilising the "Additional Order Notes" section of the booking process. Requests not submitted this way are unlikely to be actioned by the WHFTA Team. Note that where possible we advise that requests to shoot with specific individuals without good reason are not submitted.
Event Cancellation and Refunds In the unlikely event of the event being cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, WHFTA is not responsible for reimbursing competitors any accommodation and travel costs. There will be no refunds after 31st July 2025.
Complaints All complaints must be made in writing by email to [email protected]. No other mechanism shall be used to formerly make complaints.
What Class can I compete in?
There are several classes in which Competitors can compete in WHFTA events. These classes and criteria are listed and described below;
Open Any rifle can be used to compete in this class. Typically, rifles are .177 calibre PCP (pre-charge pneumatics).
Ladies Specifically for any Lady Competitor using any rifle type.
Veteran Competitor must be 60 years or older on the date of the WHFTA competition
Junior Competitors must be aged 9- 16 years on the date of the WHFTA competition
Recoil Any recoiling rifle can be used, semi recoiling rifles are not permitted in this class. Typically, rifles are .177 spring rifles. If you are unsure of which type of rifle you have, please seek clarification from a WHFTA Official
.22 Any rifle in .22 or .25 calibre can be used. Typically, rifles used are .22 calibre PCP
Sticks Competitors use “shooting sticks” as a means of support for all shots taken. Any rifle can be used to compete in this class
