The whfta and bfta team up to bring you the biggest outdoor airgun event of 2023!

WHFTA have teamed up with the BFTA (British Field Target Association) to bring two huge outdoor airgun events together. The work we have done collectively with the BFTA means that the World Hunter Field Target Championships 2023 (WHFTA 2023) and the BFTA British Open 2023 will be held over the weekend of 16th & 17th September 2023 at Weston Park, UK in the exact same place at the exact same time and will be fully intertwined.

But what does that mean exactly? It means that between us we are putting the best part of 500 airgunners from two disciplines together, sharing resources, sharing knowledge and sharing the same passions. This means that in terms of numbers this is the biggest airgun event since the FT Worlds in 2019!
We are hugely excited about this collaboration and what the potential positive ramifications are from this partnership. For both organisations this could be absolutely game changing for the outdoor airgun shooting community!
Further details will be announced over the course of the coming weeks but for now let’s celebrate what can only be described as a win for the airgun community!
