We think that has to be the most challenging whfta event to date, two world class courses and some world class shooting! the results are now in. we would like to congragulate all the winners, that was some truly awesome shooting. additionally, we would to pass on our thanks to everyone involved in putting this together. from the whfta events team, our sponsors, our hosts, the caterers and all of our competitors. you all played a blinder!  well what a way to get whfta 2023 kicked off, the results are now in for day 1 and in all classes it is going to very hotly contested to see who will crowned the hft world champions 2023!

A HUGE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO OUR DECISION TO SELECT THIS VENUE IS THAT THE GUYS AND GIRLS AT NEWFIELD FARM ARE COMPLETELY BEHIND BOTH SHOOTING SPORTS AND CONSERVATION. The work we have done collectively with the BFTA means that the World Hunter Field Target Championships 2023 (WHFTA 2023) and the BFTA British Open 2023 will be held over the weekend of 16th & 17th September 2023 at Weston Park, UK in the exact same place at the exact same time and will be fully intertwined. But what does that mean exactly? It means that between us we are putting the best part of 500 airgunners from two disciplines together, sharing resources, sharing knowledge and sharing the same passions. This means that in terms of numbers this is the biggest airgun event since the FT Worlds in 2019! We are hugely excited about this collaboration and what the potential positive ramifications are from this partnership. For both organisations this could be absolutely game changing for the outdoor airgun shooting community! Further details will be announced over the course of the coming weeks but for now let’s celebrate what can only be described as a win for the airgun community! The WHFTA would like to openly thank the individuals within the BFTA for working with us to make this happen, you are a credit to our sports!  Stick stick hooray!
Following a very extensive discussion with the global HFT community we are extremely pleased to announce that a new class will be in play for The HFT World Championships 2023 aka WHFTA 2023. The Sticks class will make its debut at WHFTA 2023! We are excited to see how the Sticks class will become part of the HFT World Championships for years to come. We are excited to see; who takes part, the innovation that will come from this class & the exciting competition. We feel this is an incredibly positive move for the sport! So, get your sticks purchased and come and get involved!  The World Hunter Field Target Championships 2023 will be held at Weston Park, UK on 16th & 17th September 2023. And we cannot wait!
Following on from last years success we are aiming to make 2023 our best event ever. A tall ask but we believe that is entirely achievable, especially with you guys in tow!
